Manage Relationships

This task is used to configure the Organizational Structure relationships. Assigning Line Manager & Team leader relationships.

Note: The Search functionality is based on the persons Name, NOT the email address


Mode Switching

You are able to switch the focus Mode for viewing and managing the relationships using 2 different Modes:

  1. Employee focus (as shown above)

    1. In the above Employee Sophia Lawrence has been selected, and the Leadership Name list shows that Donna Profile is the Line Manager (Relationship Type) for Sophia.

    2. The Select from list is showing the list of people who currently have no relationship with Sophia, but able to be selected and Assigned As (if required) either as:

      • Team Leader

      • Line Manager

  2. Leadership focus (as shown below)

    1. In the above Leader Sophia Lawrence has been selected, and the Employee Name list shows the list of people have been assigned (related) to Sophia Lawrence. In some cases Sophia is their team Leader, and others she is assigned as their Line Manager.

    2. The Select from list is showing the list of people who currently have no relationship with Sophia, but able to be selected and Assigned To (if required) either as:

      • Team Leader

      • Line Manager

Description and Usage

Team Leader

Assigning someone as a Team Leader to a set of people, will allow that person to have access to:

  • Provide an interface for them to interact via their Planner with the People assigned to them through the My People tab via their Planner:

  • For the people assigned to them they will be able to:

    • View their current status and Requirement assignments

    • Generate an Activity Statement report

    • View the skills profiles of the People assigned to them (Self Assessed and Endorsed (If applicable)

    • View their Action Plans

    • View (and download) their Evidence

    • Approve Self Assessed Profiles when requested (Provided this has been enabled)

    • Have access to Analytics based on the Team members (only)

Line Manager

The main difference between a Line Manager and a Team Leader from a system perspective is the ability for a Line Manager to make changes to a persons Action Plans. This based on an assumption that a Line Manager may have budgetary (financial) responsibilities, and therefore may need to veto or assign/approve development actions based on financial restraints.

Assigning someone as a Line Manager to a set of people, will allow that person to have access to:

  • Provide an interface for them to interact via their Planner with the People assigned to them through the My People tab via their Planner:

    For the people assigned to them they will be able to:

    • View their current status and view/change their Requirement assignments

    • Generate an Activity Statement report

    • View the skills profiles of the People assigned to them (Self Assessed and Endorsed (If applicable)

    • View/Change their Action Plans

    • View (and download) their Evidence

    • Approve Self Assessed Profiles when required (Provided this has been enabled)

    • Have access to Analytics based on their assigned people (only)

Mentor

Mentor is a special relationship that is established as an outcome of the Mentor/Mentee processes. They are NOT able to be established through this system interface, and should NOT be established via Import.

They are however able to be deleted if required through the system interface, and Import.

Mentors allow that person to have access to:

  • Provide an interface for them to interact via their Planner with the People assigned to them through the My People tab via their Planner:

    • For the people assigned to them they will be able to:

      • View their current status and their Requirement assignments

      • Generate an Activity Statement report

      • View the skills profiles of the People assigned to them (Self Assessed and Endorsed (If applicable)

      • View/Change their Action Plans

      • View (and download) their Evidence

      • Approve Self Assessed Profiles when required (Provided this has been enabled)

      • Have access to Analytics based on their assigned people (only)
