Manage Relationships
This task is used to configure the Organizational Structure relationships. Assigning Line Manager, Team leader and Mentor relationships.
Note: The Search functionality is based on the persons Name, NOT the email address
Mode Switching
You are able to switch the focus Mode for viewing and managing the relationships using 2 different Modes:
Employee focus (as shown above)
In the above Employee Alana Lim has been selected, and the Leadership Name list shows that Reda Alkire is the Team Leader WITHOUT Approval and Kristal Esh is the Line Manager for Alana.
The Select from list is showing the list of people who currently have no relationship with Alan, but able to be selected and Assigned As (if required) either as:
Team Leader
With or without Approval
Line Manager
With or without Approval
Mentor
With or without Approval
Leadership focus (as shown below)
In the above Raphael is now selected as the Leader, and the Employee Name list shows the list of people have been assigned (related) to Raphael. Raphael is the Line manager for Zhen Zhou for example.
The Select from list is showing the list of people who currently have no relationship with Alan, but able to be selected and Assigned To (if required) either as:
Team Leader
With or without Approval
Line Manager
With or without Approval
Mentor
With or without Approval
The ability to assign a Leader for approvals will depend on the Admin Manage Features & Settings/Who can approve self-assessed profiles? selection.
i.e. The ability to assign a leader with the default selection, (which includes the ability to approve profiles), will only be offered if that Leadership type has been selected to do approvals.
The WITHOUT Approval version will always be offered.
Approval vs WITHOUT Approval
If you wish to assign a Leader to someone but you do NOT wish for them to have the ability to approve the individuals Skill Profiles, you can assign them as the leader with the equivalent WITHOUT Approval button. This will mean:
They will NOT receive the Request Approval Emails for that individual based on this relationship.
They will NOT have the ability to Approve their Profile based on this relationship.
Profile approvals can also be granted via the Admin Approve SelfAssessed functionality. If the same leader assigned here has been granted Admin Approval permissions:
They will still receive the Approval Request emails.
However, their ability to approve the individual assigned here will be overridden by this relationship. i.e. They will NOT be able to approve the individual/s assigned here.
