Managing Promoted Actions

The ability to Accept or Reject Actions that have been Promoted by others is available from this Page.

  • The fact that Action are waiting promotion will be displayed in the Promotion Requests button that will only be in focus if there are Promoted Action waiting to be addressed, as well as how many. Example here there is 1 Promoted Action waiting.

  • In addition you should also have received information Emails to this regard.

Actioning Promoted Actions

  1. Select the Promotion Requests button

  2. Review the Action by selecting the i symbol

  3. You now have the option to Edit, Accept or Decline the Action promotion

  4. If you choose to Edit, it will open the Action in Edit mode, in which you can make any changes. e.g. Add extra Skills

  5. Use Save to save the changes or Cancel to abandon the edit

  6. This will return to the previous mode with the Saved changes included

  7. You now have the same options

  8. To Accept the Action, which will add it to your organizations Action List use the Accept button.You will need to accept the Confirmation with an OK, or use Cancel to abandon the acceptance

  9. You will get confirmation of the acceptance as a pop-up

  10. You can then continue with any other Action promotion Requests and repeat the 2 to 20 sequence as above.

  11. Once you have completed with the Action you wish to address you can return to the main Action List page by using the Return to List button

  12. The Accepted Action will now appear in the Action List

  13. An Email will be distributed regarding the acceptance to the person requesting the promotion


Once an Action has been added to the list is can continue to be managed exactly the same way as other predefined action.

Decline Promoted Actions

  1. To decline a Custom Action use the Decline button.

  2. You will be required to include a reason for declining the Action in the pop-up.

  3. Press OK to continue with the Decline action or Cancel to abandon the decline action.

  4. You will get a brief pop-up confirming the action

  5. And the person will be informed that their Promote action has been declined

The person will have the ability to re-do their Promote of the Action after a Decline should they choose to do so.

e.g. They may have addressed the reasons for it being declined initially, or may just disagree with it being rejected. If the former we would expect that some alternate form of communication with the person would be prudent.
