7.2 Approve a persons profile

Profile Approval

To approve a profile of someone who has requested an approval that has been assigned to you as their Team Leader or Line Manager. (You will have no doubt been informed that the person has requested an approval via an email notification):

  1. Click on the Persons Name (link) in the Name column of My People (e.g. Graham Profile shown above has an outstanding approval request) OR you may have used a link in the email notification to proceed directly to their Profile page e.g.

  2. Before approving and in order to satisfy yourself that their profile is ready for approval you MAY need to one or more of the following:

    1. Review the persons Skill Profile

    2. Check their Skill Changes via the Team Analytics

    3. Review any Evidence they have captured in support of their selected skills

    4. Check their Action Plan to review completed action

    5. Communicate directly with the person in some way if required

  3. You then have 2 Options:

    1. Approve immediately

    2. Postpone the Approval and request either a Skill Revision or Extra Evidence.

Postponement

If you have found a deficiency and require the person either Revise their Skill selections or Add additional Evidence then:

  1. Use the Postpone with Reason button on their Skill Profile page.

  2. You will then need to Add a comment to the pop-up Comment and Select the appropriate Reason

  3. A Email notification will be sent to the individual informing them of the Postponement and the Reason & your Comment.

The Postponement process can be repeated until such time as you are satisfied with the individuals Profile etc.

Approvals

Once you are satisfied with an individuals Profile etc, and wish to approve them then:

  1. From their Profile page select the Approve button

  2. You will then need to add a (compulsory) comment to the pop-up Comment:

  3. Click Approve. (Will only become active when a comment is provided).

  4. The Approved status will show on the Persons profile, and they will be sent an email notification confirming your approval and including the comments

  5. You can use the My People in the Planner Menu to return to the My People page to show the new status (if required)

  6. Or use the Return to My Profile Planner Menu item to return to your own profile page
