3.8 Using the Profile Approval functionality

SkillsTX provides the ability for Self-Assessment Profiles to be approved by Team Leaders and/or Line Managers as defined via the Org structure. This is a much simpler and more friendly way of helping ensure the data has a greater level of integrity, without having to make use of the Endorsement functionality.

Typical Demo scenario

1. Login as Zen Zhou (z.zhou@Qskillogger.com)

2. You will notice she has yet to request an approval for her Profile hence the Request Approval button is showing

3. Login as Raphael Leadbetter (r.leadbetter@skillogger.com)

4. Show My People

   Open

   

5. It can be sen that Allena Beggs, has requested approval at some stage, so select Allena Beggs to display her Profile status

   1. Note the Approve button is available for selection Sand the state of the approval Request

6. Select My People once again, and select Jodee Vandine

   1. Note it has been approved previously

   2. And the hover-over on the Approved status shows the (mandatory) message that was left when carrying out the approval

7. Explain:

   1. Approvals remain until the person edits their profile again, at which time approvals are removed, and her new version will need to be approved once again.

      • Note: Approvals apply to a complete Profile for an individual, not for individual skills. When a person makes any sort of change by editing and creating a new version, the approval is NOT carried forward to the new version. The new version will need to be approved as per above.

   2. It is expected profile changes would normally be via a collaborative process with Individual & Leadership. Only an Individual has the access to actually change their own Profile
