SkillsTx helps overcome the concept of “trapped resources”. Those considering leaving the organisation due to the inability to see a future within the organisation.

  • Being able to view ALL roles available and select Future roles provides employees with an insight into their future within the organisation and makes provisions for future planning

  • Because the organisational skill matrix is based on “all the skills an organisation has available”, not only those related to current job definitions, it provides a platform for employees to showcase skills not normally associated with their current roles, and to see and be offered opportunities they may not have normally been considered for

  • The SkillsTx collaborative approach facilitates improved and more frequent communication and continual improvement approach rather than the annual or bi-annual legacy style

The following is the scenario we are going to address:

Instructions

  1. The instructions for this User case will depend on what version of the EBS worspace you have loaded. To check Log into the EBS Worskpace as an Administrator and go to the Skills we need (jobs/role) / Job/Role Management Menu item

  2. Type Marketer into the Search function. If it shows the Marketer job (Unique Reference AS-AM-005). Then you are ready to go and you can go straight to Step 6. If NO Marketer job shows then go to Step 3.

  3. Download the file EBS Marketer Job_1.xslx file from the 2. EB Services Downloads section above and save it on your own device.

  4. In Job/Role Management use the Upload Jobs functionality using the file you have downloaded and saved. Select the file then use the Perform to upload the new job Marketer into the workspace. (Note: it takes a while for the import to complete).

  5. Once the Import has completed return to Step 2 above as a precautionary check it worked OK.

  6. Log into a Planner session for Bridgette Kellum. (b.kellum@9999.sfia where “9999” is the workspace number for your EBS workspace etc)

  7. Edit the Future Job for Bridgette choosing the Marketer job. Then do a Show to show the gaps between her Current Profile and the Marketer Job. e.g.

  8. Use the Workspace Analytics either via Admin or you can use the Planner login for r.leadbetter@999.sfia and select the Candidate/Job Match analytics page.

  9. Use the Job/Role filter and select the Marketer Job.

These steps describe the User Case scenario above.
