  3. You are able to select the Version of the profile you wish to match against if other than the latest required e.g.

  4. It will Display your Profile showing the skill Matches/Gaps against the selected Requirement (Job/Role) Type.

    1. Generic Attributes:

    2. Professional Skills:

  5. Each Skill/Level will be shown with 2 columns. The Left Hand Side column displaying the skill/level selected in your Profile, the Right Hand Side column the Requirement (Job/Role) profile skill/level required.

    1. e.g.

  6. The Attributes assigned (and required) for the selected Requirements will show below the Attributes you have selected. (shaded Blue for Current Jobs and Green for Future Jobs) e.g.

  7. The Skill Profile Key legend displayed describes the shading/colours used

  8. The Far Right Hand side column of the table indicates the type of match. (See the Skill Gap Indicator table on the right for details)

  9. To stop viewing in Skill gap mode, choose Job Requirement Type = None

When checking for Skill Gaps on this Profile page, we suggest that you also check using the Show Detail button. On occasions, if you have no skills elected in a SFIA Category that the job requires, that Category may not display at all in the profile panel, in which case you may miss a skill gap. (This has been raised as an enhancement request)

Note: the Gap will however appear correctly in the Action Plan page.

Skill Gap indicators

Indicator

Description/Usage

None

Indicates a skill/level present in your profile that is not required in the Job profile

A Green Tick indicates a perfect skill/level match

This indicates you do have the skill at the Level(s) needed for the role profile as a fully developed professional competency (Competent)

A Red Cross indicates a skill/level gap of a Required skill for the Job

This indicates a skill Required by the role profile. However it is not included it in your selected profile type (e.g. Self Assessed) as Competent at the required level.

Therefore your development action needs that you move from your current selection (e.g. Not Selected or Knowledge or Proficient) to Competent

An Orange circle indicates a skill/level gap for a Desirable skill for the Job

This indicates that you are missing a Desirable skill for that role profile as Competent at the required level

Therefore you may choose to have a development action that moves you from your current selection (e.g. Not Selected or Knowledge or Proficient) to Competent in order to improve your competency for the role, or possibly because as a Future role, you wish to improve your chances of selection.
