8.4 Job/Role Family Assignment

This task provides the ability to assign and manage Job Families. Job Families provides the functionality to group Jobs/Roles. You will then be able to select Job Families in the Analytics in order to refine searches based on them.

e.g. You may have a set of very similar Jobs defined with slightly different skills or skill attributes. These can then be grouped under a Job Family.

Family

The name of Job/Role Family that has been defined

Jobs

The names of the Job/Roles assigned to that Family name.

Tip

The Jobs list is sequenced depending on the Seq parameter set under Job Role Management. When the Seq is left to the default "0" (Zero), then the list will be sorted alphabetically. Setting the Seq parameter allows the sort sequence to be customised.

- Job/Role Selection.

 - Add Job - Adds the Job/Role selected to the Family.

- Deletes the Job Family.


Step-by-step guide to adding & Deleting new Job/Role Family name to the table

Add a New Job/Role Family

  1. Input a name for the Job Family

  2. Press the Add button

  3. This will add the Job Family name to the table


Delete a Job Family:

  1. Press the Delete Job Family button


Step-by-step guide to adding/removing Jobs/Roles to/from a Family

Add a Job:

  1. In the Jobs Column select the name of the JOb/Role you wish to add from the drop-down list:

    1. e.g.

  2. Press the Add Job button


Remove a Job:

  1. Press the Trash symbol for the Job/Role you wish to remove

Tip

Jobs/Roles are also able to be added to a Family via the Job/Role Management task
