Warning

Errors that could prevent the successful Import of an Upload Workbook are usually:

  • Email Addresses that do not exist in the lists

    • Either the Leadership or Employee email columns

  • An invalid Relationship Type specified

  • A Relationship specified for more than once for the same Leader/Employee combination. Or if it does not actually fail, the outcomes could be dubious. (e.g. The last one of the duplicate relationships processed may be the only one configured)

Note

Please take note of the warning

  • Each row of the Upload file is used to define a single relationship

  • There can only be a single instance of a Leader/Employee relationship specified. i.e. A Leader cannot be more than 1 Leadership Type (Including Endorser) for the same Employee.

    • Note1: The rationale for Endorsers is that they are generally (from a Best Practice perspective) expected to be independent SFIA Consultants (Accredited) and not have any biases that could influence their Endorsement of a persons Skill Profile. Endorsements by Leaders could also diminish the leader/Employee relationship, and reduce the Employee Experience

    • Note2: Team Leaders and Line Managers DO however have the ability to Approve the Skill Profiles of Employees assigned to them

    • Note3: However, it is possible to have the roles reversed so that a Team member could be configured as the Endorser for their own Team Leader. e.g.someone as a Team Leader for a set of People, and a Line Manager for a different set of people. (But probably unlikely)
