2.2 Current and Future Job selection

Job selection restrictions

Administrators have the ability to restrict the self job selection of both Current and Future jobs if the organisation has deemed that necessary.

A common scenario is for:

  • Current job selection to be restricted and only able to be allocated by Administrators to ensure consistency

  • Future Job selection available to the individuals, enabling them to select their own Future job

Job Selection - Step-by-step guide

  1. Press the Edit button to change the selection:

  2. Select the Current and Future Jobs you wish to include.

  3. Save the Changes using the Save Changes button or use Close to cancel changes

  • If you are unable to select the jobs (In either the Current or Future columns), it indicates that your Administrator has restricted selection on that Job type. More than likely the jobs for that Job Type are selected by the Administrators on behalf of the individuals. This is usually more common for the Current job selection.

  • You should NOT select the same Job/Role as both a Current and Future Job, the system will attach it to the last one selected only (i.e either Current or Future). This is deliberate, as it would cause unreliable results in the algorithms and for the analytics. It also does not really make sense to choose the same job for current as well as a Job you strive for in the future.

The selection Table shows the % matches of the jobs for selection.

It includes Search capability
