EBS Services has a vacancy for a Chief Security Information Officer (CISO). The following describes the steps that were taken to prepare to fill the vacancy.
Steps taken
A Job Requirement definition for the CISO role has been setup.
Named Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This was chosen because it was expected that many of the Security related skills would apply.

Use the Search for Candidates Analytics, selecting the CISO job and using the External Candidate=False filter it was established that there was no one internally that matched the skills criteria. The closest being Franklin with 36.67% of the required skills.
The Recruitment feature was then utilised by providing the Recruitment Invite link (see under Configure Workspace) :
Select the Match Range threshold for Self Assessed with the minimum set a value that would be suitable: e.g. 30% or thereabouts. (The default setting is 50%)
Select the CISO job under Requirement Name
This will display 3 possibilities
Current employee Franklin Hilger (Current CFO) at 33%
Two external candidates who are in fact a lot better suited
If you like you can also use the Employee Status selector to exclude current employees by selecting Candidate
From the analytics, it can be demonstrated that Willowdean Stam (66.7% match) and Chung Lando (55.56 % match) would both possibly be suitable for short listed based on their % match of the Job Requirement against their Self-Assessed Profile, and should be taken to the next recruitment stage.
You can explain that the Recruitment feature was utilized by providing the Recruitment Invite link from the Login page. This was posted on the EBS website Job Vacancies Page
Three (3) people in fact responded for the CISO role by selecting the link and completing the Candidate form, which then automatically uploaded them into the system and sent them the Self-Assessment survey invitation email
The 3 people completed their surveys. (Refer Track Survey Progress)
e.g.
Using the Candidate Job Matching Analytics again and selecting the External Candidate=True filter, it was established that one particular candidate (Willowdean Stam) was most suitable for the role with a 66.3% match on required skills.
Martine has arranged an initial remote interview session, (because the person was which they completed.
They have all selected the CISO role as a Future job
You can in fact show all the Candidates that have applied for jobs by setting the threshold range to 0%, and selecting Candidates and the CISO role.
A possible recruitment scenario:
Martine would arrange initial remote interview sessions, (because Willowdean is based in New York),
using their Self-Assessed
profiles to lead the discussion and establish that
it does indeed reflect
their true capabilities.

A follow Follow up person-to-person style interview will interviews would then be arranged provided the initial interview shows promise to establish other aspects such as cultural fit etc.

The 66.3% 67% match on required skills for Willowdean indicates to Martine that Willowdean still has some headroom for gaining some of the needed skills, a preferred position as it would indicate he would not become too quickly bored in the role. With a scenario such as a 100% match, there would be some worry that Willodean would not be intending to remain long in the role, or they would be quickly bored. Note: This would be different in the case of hiring a consultant or Subject Matter Expert for a particular set of tasks where you would expect them to be up and running ASAP, and you would be expecting to only pay for the skills needed for the tasks. |
