12.2 Export and Import Skills Hidden
Export and Import Skill Hidden
A convenient method of uploading, maintaining and managing Hidden Skills is to make use of the Export and Import functionality.
Export can also be used to check whether or not any of the Skills you wish to hide, have already been selected by either Individuals in their Skill profiles or Requirements (Job/Roles). This may effect your decision making on whether to hide a skill or not.
Export Skills Hidden
In most cases skills are hidden initially manually in-situ. These can then be Exported to an Excel Workbook, and used as a basis for hiding additional skills ans/or unhiding currently hidden ones in readiness for Importing.
The following are the steps to Export Skill Attributes
Select the Export Skills Hidden button
This will Download an Excel workbook to a folder based on your browser settings e.g.
You can use this file to make necessary updates in preparation for Importing
Import Skills Hidden
The following are the steps to Import a previously populated/changed Upload file:
A Templates is not provided for Importing, it would be expected that you would perform an Export first, and use the Exported file to make changes. This helps ensure it reflects all the Professional Skill in your system, including an Extra Franework if one has been uploaded.
Select the Import skills Hidden button
Select the Select Files button to begin the Upload and follow the dialogue to select and Open your Upload file
The files to Upload block will show the files you have selected & opened
Select the Process Upload button to process the file
You will get a brief prompt Top Right of the window indicating the outcomes
If successful the hidden skill changes will be reflected as per the Upload file
