Endorsements without Self-Assessment

It is possible to setup an Endorsed Profile for an individual that has NOT done the self-assessment and therefore does not have a SelfAssessed (Planner) Profile.

However, you will 1st need to request that we enable this for you, as it is not a standard configurable option. You can request this via the Service Desk interface, with the “Request Endorsement Only functionality” Service Request.

Instructions

  1. The Individual AND the Assessor MUST have been created in the relevant workspace via the Load/Edit Individuals Details. Once you have organised for the functionality to be activated, this is really the ONLY other criteria to create an Endorsed Profile .

  2. The individual may or may not be assigned for self-assessment and NOT fully completed the surveys.

    • Note: If they HAVE fully completed surveys and already have a profile, then use the standard method by generating a workbook and then uploading.

  3. Go to the Import Workbook page under the Skills we have (360/endorsement) menu and at the bottom you can download an Endorsed Profile Template (Blank workbook) using the Download Template button.

  4. The workbook template contains an Instructions Tab and has validation on the fields. Basically, ALL Green cells must have been completed together with the relevant list of Skills. You MUST include the email of the Individual AND Assessor on the Profile sheet.

  5. You MUST set the Status to Approved.

  6. We recommend you use a naming convention when saving the updated workbooks.

  7. Upload via the Import Workbook page as usual ensuring the Assessor selected at upload is the SAME as the email of the Assessor input in the workbook. (just an extra crosscheck we included for safety and integrity).

  8. Once uploaded they can be accessed and downloaded from the Import queue for audit purposes (you can include comments).

  9. If you have (and we usually recommend you do) the Auto Reporting setup for Endorsed reports, it will be generated and sent to the individual. If not, you’ll need to generate and send manually.

  10. The person can then create a (Planner) User by going to the Planner Login Page and selecting reset password if they are not using Sign-in with Microsoft etc.

    • Note: You may wish to include this information in the email that sends the report.

  11. Once they have logged into their Planner, they will see their Endorsed Profile and an empty SelfAssessed Profile. They can use the Copy Endorsed button on the SelfAssessed profile to clone the endorsed profile as their self-assessed so they can edit.
