  • Individual self-assessment against the latest version of SFIA, the Skills Framework for the Information Age (currently at version 7)

    • Ability to separately assess each SFIA Level of Responsibility characteristic (Autonomy, Influence, Complexity, Knowledge, and Business Skills), so that an individual can select different levels for each characteristic and separately assess them independently of the SFIA Professional Skills and Levels

    • Ability to assess and include relevant skills from the 102 professional skills described in SFIA7

      • No limit on the number of SFIA skills that can be included

      • Ability to include multiple levels of each skill to reflect all levels at which that skill is practiced by the individual

      • Best practice alignment to provide different levels of matching – not just a binary yes/no, but a graduated assessment in line with ISO/IEC 15504 or ISO 33000 standard principles such as Fully (85%+ match) or Largely (50-85% match)

      • Ability to include skills and mark them as ‘Previously’ to distinguish them from current and up-to-date skills

      • Ability to capture comments against each skill-at-a-level assessed, so that relevant notes can be included in the individual skills profile

      • Ability to capture organisationally-specific skill attributes, aligned to SFIA skills, to allow assessment of additional information beyond the SFIA scope/content – such as methodologies, technologies, or specific programming languages

    • A structured intelligent self-assessment which guides the individual through SFIA

  • Ability for an individual to update and maintain their own SFIA skills profile after the initial data capture through self-assessment

  • Ability to assess external recruitment candidates, to provide a skills assessment as part of the recruitment process supporting short-listing and interview decisions

  • Automated notification, reminders, and tracking of self-assessment for employees and external recruitment candidates

  • Ability for individuals to see their match and gaps between their own skills profile and a set of defined SFIA Role Profiles and/or Job Descriptions developed for the customer organisation

  • Job/Role definition capability supporting people with little SFIA experience to create and maintain SFIA-based Job Descriptions and/or Role Profiles

    • Jobs/Roles must be able to be defined in the following way:
