SkillsTX now provide a skills assessment and accreditation scheme for our Personal (free) license holders and simplified the process.

What it can do for individuals:

  • Professional recognition

  • Help in job applications and promotions

  • Independent external confirmation of your skills and competencies

  • Alignment with an internationally adopted skills and competencies framework (common language)

Note: You can have up to 6 skills assessed by a SFIA accredited assessor for a cost of US$435.

We have simplified the process for our Personal License holders to instigate a skill assessment directly from your Planner.

  1. Select the Evidence tab from your Planner Menu:

  2. Where you will now find a + Certify Skills button:

  3. Press the + Certify Skills button e.g.

  4. You can select up to 6 skills you wish to have certified by using the Blue + button under the Certify column associated with the skill you wish to have certified.

  5. The button will turn Orange and become a - button for each skill selected e.g.

  6. Once you have selected all the skills you wish to have assessed you will need to check and acknowledge the Privacy statement at the bottom of the page

  7. And use the Submit button to instigate your request

  8. You will need to Confirm (or Cancel) your submission from the resultant pop-up message

  9. And you will then receive request confirmation pop-up

  10. We will receive an email from the system

  11. We will send an invoice to you via the email address we have registered in the system for the assessment services which includes.

    1. The cost of the SFIA assessor

    2. The cost for any badges to be issued (depending on the assessment results)

    3. Administration fees to the Badge providers and to SkillsTX

  12. Once your invoice has been paid an Assessor will be assigned.

  13. The Assessor may review your Skill Profile, Evidence, Action Plans etc in the SkillsTX system.

  14. The Assessor will most likely schedule an online interview to discuss and assess your skills.

  15. The Assessor, provided they are satisfied, will select the skill and level they deem you demonstrated and submit it for issuing an accreditation Badge of the appropriate type.

  16. Once the badge has been issued via the badging platform (for example, APMG), you will receive an email notification to that affect.

  17. And the Evidence will appear in your Evidence list.

    • NOTE: You may need to accept the badge(s) issued within the badging platform by following the instructions in an email sent from them.
