There are a number of actions available for the SelfAssessed Profile.

Compact/Expand modes

By default the Skills Profiles show in Compact mode initially. (i.e. Only the selected skills competencies are shown).

Use the   and  buttons to toggle between the Expand (i.e. The whole SFIA Competency Framework shown) and Compact modes

Edit the SelfAssessed skills Profile - Step-by-step guide

  1. Select the Editbutton on the top of Skills Profile panel

  2. Depending on when you last changed your profile, you may need to respond to the following information pop-up:

    •   Answering OK, will continue to open the editor window, Answering Cancel will cancel the edit. This is a cautionary prompt only to ensure changing your profile is intended. It is expected that once you have initially finalised you profile changes will only occur following the completion of actions such as training courses, mentoring periods etc.

  3. You can make changes to both the LORs or Skills Profileand/or Competencies in a single edit session:


Changing the Levels of Responsibility (LoR) - Step-by-step guide

  1. Select the Editbutton on the right of the respective LoR panelrow.

  2. Use the Edit buttons on the relevant LoRs to make changes to themIt will show the relevant LoRs selections in a separate pop-up panel:

  3. Select the new level required

  4. Press the Save Changes button to save the changes for that level LoR or Close to Cancel the change

  5. repeat as above for all the LORs for which changes are required to be made

Any skill changes made will bring up invoke an information message similar to the following on the left of the top Menu:


Changing the Competencies (Skills) Profile - Step-by-step guide

Add the steps involved:

  1. Select the Edit button on the right Skills Profile panel of the respective skill competency you wish to change.

  2. Use the Edit buttons on the relevant individual Skills to make changes to them It will show the relevant competency selections in a separate pop-up panel:

  3. Select the appropriate skill selections for the required skill competency levels

    • None - Have NOT acquired that Skill

    • All - Have Fully Mastered the skill (80%+)

    • Some - Have largely attained the skill (50%-79%)

  4. Press the Save Changes button to save the changes for that level or Close to Cancel the change

  5. repeat as above for all the skills for which changes are required to be made

Any skill changes made will bring up invoke an information message or update a previous one similar to the following on the left of the top Menu:


Save Profile Changes:

  1. Once ALL the required changes have been made, press the Save button to save the changes or Cancel to discard all the changes.

  2. A new version of the SelfAssessed Profile will be created.

  3. The page will refresh and the new version will be shown.

Note

Profile approvals will are NOT be carried forward to a new version of the SelfAssessed profile. The new version will need to be re-approved if required.

If you do wish to have the new version of your changed Profile Approved, then you will need to do a Request Approval to communicate with the person that carries out approvals directly. The system itself does NOT inform anyone of changes to a persons SelfAssessed profile such as adding a new skill etc.

Request Approval

Provided a person has been assigned to approve your Profile, you are able to request that the current version of your Profile be Approved by that person. Approvals apply to specific versions of a Profile. Therefore as soon as you make a change to your Profile, any previous approval status will not apply to the new version. You will need to Request an Approval as required.

  1. Select the Request Approval Button

  2. The button will change to

  3. An email will be sent to the person assigned to approve your Profiles, and in addition they will be able to see the the approval status of your Profile via their own Planner session.

  4. Once they have approved your Profile it will change to Indicate that it has been Approved, by whom and a date stamp e.g.

  5. When you select the Approved Icon it will display the comments the approver has provided with the approval action.

Note

When you Edit and change your Profile next time, the approval Info will be replaced by a Request Approval button once again


Skill Attributes - Step-by-step guide

  1. Skills that show the

    Icon indicate the Attributes (e.g. Technology) have been associated with that skill by the Workspace Administrators. Attributes are made available in Analytics.

  2. Select the

      icon to show the Attributes available for selection:

  3. Select the Attributes required to be attributed to the Profile for that skill

  4. Press the Saveto save the selection or Close to discard the selection

  5. The selected Attributes will now be shown for that skill and shown in the profile Reports

Info

If the Attribute presents as a hyperlink (URL). In both the normal Planner window or the Edit Attributes pane, as shown in Urban Design above, selecting the link will open the link in a new browser window. This may have been set as a link, for example, in order to carry out some sort of checking before selecting the Attribute to add to the skill or as a link for some other purpose if already selected.


Skill Notes - Step-by-step guide

You are able to add personal notes to specific skill/levels. These notes will NOT appear in any analytics.

  1. Skills that show the 

    Icon in a skill/level block indicate a note is present for the skill / level.

  2. Select the 

    icon to show current notes or Tap on an empty Skill/level block to add a new note or change a current one:

  3. Change or add to the notes as required

  4. Press the Save Changes button to save or Close to discard the changes


Profile Versions - Step-by-step guide

You are able to show previous versions of Skills profiles.

  1.  Select the

    button:

  2. Select the version you wish to show by selecting the appropriate View button

  3. The page will refresh and the selected version will be shown.

Note

Analytics always utilises the latest version of Skill profiles, regardless of the one selected in the Planner Console for viewing


Profile Reporting - Step-by-step guide

You are able to produce a new Skills profile report

  1. Select the

    button:

  2. The above message will appear, and the report will generated and emailed directly to you

  3. You can close the Info message using the X on the right hand side

Note

If your report email fails to arrive, then first check your Spam folders as the donotreply@skillstx.com email may have been relegated as spam.
