Manage Extra Framework

This Admin page will ONLY be visible to organizations that have a prior arrangement with SkillsTX to include additional frameworks (e.g. such as a Leadership framework) that will then be available to their users (employees) for selection in their Planner, as well as selection for Requirements. (Jobs).

The extra Framework skill selections will appear below the SFIA Framework in the individuals Planner.

Note: They are NOT included in any of the skill selection surveys

This task is used to Import (upload) an additional framework:

Info

The layout and format of additional frameworks needs to be quite specific in order for the SkillsTX platform to accommodate it.

The ability for the SkillsTX platform to house an Extra framework, is only possible if it conforms to the SFIA Framework configuration, for which the platform was developed.

An Excel workbook template is able to be downloaded as part of the Import Process.

Note

The following needs to be kept in mind when formatting your framework:

  • The Category Name PLUS the Colour Code determine the Category.

  • The Subcategory Names PLUS the SkillColourCode and SubCategoryColourCode Colour Codes determine the Sub Category.

 Therefore:

  • The same ColourCode must be consistent for each Row of the Category Name.

  • The same SkillColourCode and SubCategoryColourCode must be consistent for each row of the Sub Category Name.

Inconsistencies in the above may report a Duplicate Category or SubCategory when trying to do an Import.

Template Description

Each row of the template describes a skill at a particular level. While there appears to be duplication in the rows, that is because the skill will cover a number of levels, and therefore they have common aspects. However for the last column SkillLevelDescription , the rows should all be unique as each skill at particular levels will be different.

Note

The following needs to be kept in mind when configuring your framework:

  • The Category Name PLUS the Colour Code determine the Category.

  • The Subcategory Names PLUS the SkillColourCode and SubCategoryColourCode Colour Codes determine the Sub Category
