The SkillsTx Planner will always initially open on the My Skills Profile page. Check the Skills Profile tabs to ensure it is showing the tab you are expecting to see. (i.e. SelfAssessed, Endorsed, Evidence or an alternative framework profile if one exists. e.g. Core Competencies is shown below).

  • The Side menu bar can be Closed/Opened by selecting the Image RemovedIcon above it. (Closed mode shown above).

  • Profiles will show in Compact Mode by default.

  • If a Profile (including alternative framework profiles) has been Approved by a Manager or Team Leader, then an approval tag may be present next to the Copy Endorsed or Edit button. If the ability to Request Approvals has been configured, it will replace the Request Approval button.

  • Hovering over each step will provide details of the step itself, as well as links for specific actions

  • Clicking on the step will proceed to the action explained in the hover-over

View/Change personal information

If your Planner aAccount was provided without you having to complete the self-assessment surveys, then your Personal Details (as shown below) may still be blank.

  • You will need to Edit and populate these fields yourself.

  • Select the View Details link

  • You can change your Image by selecting the Edit icon and selecting a new image file fro your device.

  • Use Edit Profile to make changes to your Personal Details.

  • Make the necessary changes and Press Save. Or Cancel if you do not wish to save the changes.

  • My Skills Profile - Home page for the SkillsTx Planner. Provides ability for the individual to:

    • View their Self-Assessed, Endorsed and Alternative Framework (if one exists) Profiles

    • Upload or view optional evidence required to support skills selections in the profiles

    • Change their self-assessed profiles including adding Skill attributes & notes for the skills

    • Change their personal details

    • Select their Current and Future Jobs (restrictions may apply) and view the job details

    • View the % matches of their Current/Future jobs

    • Overlay their Current/Future jobs against their Self-Assessed & Endorsed profiles in order to see specific matches and gaps

    • Add free format Notes regarding actions taken etc

  • My Action Plan - Access to the Action Planning pages for viewing detailed skills gaps and generating action plans against the gaps

  • My People - Only available for Team Leaders and Line Managers configured in the Org Structure. Provides access to the Profiles and Action plans of the individuals assigned to them

  • Team Analytics - Only available for Team Leaders and Line Managers configured in the Org Structure. Provides Analytics filtered by the individuals assigned to them

  • Workspace Analytics - Only available to Individuals who have been granted access to the Workspace Analytics by the Workspace Administrator. (Usually senior Management)

  • Manage Jobs - Will only be visible if you have been assigned as the Owner of Job/Role Descriptions. You have access to edit the JDs from this section.

  • My Settings - Access to change the personal Settings than can be managed by the individual

  • Self Assessed and Endorsed progress Overall % - Shows the % matches of the selected Current and Future jobs against the Self-Assessed and Endorsed profiles

Information Notices:

On occasions you may find useful information notices appear at the top of the My Skills Profile page such as those shown here on the right. You are able to Dismiss the notices for the session, and depending on the type of notice they may re-appear when you next access your Planner. Others will be dismissed permanently.

Some may also have a link to more information or a video using a Show Me link.

Some messages will be from SkillsTx, others may be from your own organisation, as Workspace Administrators have the ability to set messages of various types for display on Planner consoles to convey information.

The following actions are available from all Planner pages

Selecting an Alternative Language (for the SFIA framework):

  • Use the Language selection on the Page header:

Alternative languages for SFIA8 will be available as they are released by the SFIA Foundation

After selecting an alternative language, the language will be retained for future logins, and any Individual Profile Reports generated during that period will also show in the SFIA language translation until a different language is selected.

Logging out of the session:

  • Select the Login ID in the top RHS. e.g.

Tip

Use the Refresh if you believe a recent change is not being reflected in your Planner as soon as expected. Some actions by an Administrator or immediately following completion of your Self-Assessment surveys may take longer than expected to display the results.

    • Selecting the icon opens a pop-up window

This shows the % matches of the Current/Future Job/Roles that are assigned to you vs your Self Assessed/Endorsed (If appropriate) Skills Profiles.

Depending on how your instance has been configured you can make changes to the assignments using the Assign button.


Assign Job/Roles

  • Select the Assign button

    If the selection ability for either Current or Future is not available, then this indicates your organization has chosen NOT to allow you to select your own Job/Role, but will no doubt be selecting these on your behalf. This is most often the case for Current Job/Role only, to help ensure the current situation is standardized.

  • The Endorsed/Self Assessed columns indicate the % match for those Skills Profiles

  • You can use the Name (Search) option, to filter the available Jobs/Roles

  • Select the Job./Role you wish to assign to Current/Future as required

  • Press the Save Changes

  • If the selection is for Current role, the assignment will be saved

  • If the selection is for a Future role, there will be a confirmation pop-up as follows:

    • You can use the click here link to open the Requirement Profile in a new browser window, in order to check the details as per the pop-up information.

    • Use OK to save the Future assignment.

      • Or Cancel to cancel the assignment.

    • Close the extra browser window when no longer needed.

Note

A specific Requirement can ONLY be assigned to ONE of Current or Future. (e.g. You cannot assign the same Requirement to both Current AND Future)
